P E O P L E

People is for me the most exciting but also the most difficult subject to catch with my camera.

Many years ago - during the B&W era - I just realized my lack of skill for that type of subject and quit photography for decades.

But thanks to some very professional and inspiring teachers like Jussi Aalto and Anders Petersen

I managed to find some kind of approach how to work with people from behind the camera.

For me the big challenge is to capture mood or feelings.

Either of those in front of the camera or of the one behind - or maybe of those who look at the prints.

Because the color brings a dimension too complicated for me, I switched back to B&W.
Lately my skills in color management has somewhat improved. Thus some of my recent people captures are in color.

But it seems to be like a spiral, because again I find myself turning the carefully color managed people images into B&W ...
